The Next Chapter
of Swedish Mining Research & Innovation Days!

Swedish Mining Research & Innovation Days 2026 (SMRID) continues the established conference series that was previously organized within the Swedish Mining Innovation framework. As that program has now been concluded, the conference moves forward under new leadership to meet the continued and growing demand for a mining-focused research and innovation arena in northern Sweden.

The 2026 edition is organized by CAMM CRM – Centre of Advance Mining and Metallurgy Critical Raw Materials at Luleå University of Technology, in collaboration with Swedish Metals & Minerals and Svemin.

SMRID 2026 will take place over two half days, 19–20 May, at Kulturens hus in Luleå.
